Kiss of Death

First off, Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you all are having a fantastic day. As well as I hope you all have quite the awesome weekend!

I'm beginning to think that I'm the kiss of death. Things at work are still picking up since we relocated, but they aren't back to normal quite yet. Since we've been here, I've been doing a lot of traveling or being away from the office. Normally you think that would be a bad thing... but evidently it works wonders for the business. Whenever I am out of town or take the day off, they get really busy. I'm starting to think that I should just get paid to go do estate sales and yard sales with my Mom on Fridays! Seems pretty reasonable right?

My Mom has started finding things and reselling them on Ebay and making good profits. Well, she's been out of town this week so guess who had to take over shipping everything for her!? You got it, this girl! She has been selling stuff constantly this week. I think I get the unfair side to this deal though. She gets to hear the money sound go off on her phone and get the money in her account... I get the task of packaging, doing postage, and shipping it all out. I think I'm going to have to rethink this arrangement. :) Totally kidding of course! I certainly benefit when we are out and I find something I like. See I don't have the eye for things that can sell. I'm glad one of us does though.

Well it's time to try to get some stuff finished up at work so I won't have loads of paperwork to do next week! And then of course it's time to continue reading City of Ashes which is part of  The Mortal Instruments series. :)

Hoping to have a pretty good blog to put up next week! Seeing as how Jonas' birthday was Wednesday, I'm celebrating it this weekend! He is officially 5 years old. I'll be making a cake for him and everything! Did I mention Jonas is my dog!?!?!

...Until Next Time...

Check Them Out!

Hey everyone,
So today's post is going to be about my fellow bloggers! When I got started with this whole thing I had a lot of help from my sister! I definitely wouldn't have had as many viewers right off hand if it wasn't for her. She still continues to help me out! So I thought I would return the favorite and give you a couple blogs that you should check out! I hope you enjoy!!

Show them some love!

And last but not least, you all know I have to do this...

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

The One Thing I've Learned About Life...

...It Goes On!

I was always one of those girls who had low self esteem and no self confidence what so ever. I never thought I was good enough for people and always settled for people and things that I shouldn't have. I was never one of those really girly girls. I wasn't blessed with the fashion gene. I can't do hair or make up to save my life. I was always the tom boy growing up, the son my Daddy never had. Compliments never made me happy, they actually made me quite mad. I always thought people were just lying to make me feel better. I was never skinny as a rail, so I thought I wasn't pretty enough.

But as I grew up, and have found myself.. I see that I was absolutely stupid. None of the things that I thought before were true. Now don't get my wrong, I'm not conceited in any way, shape, or form. But I've learned that life isn't about living to impress others or making others happy. The only person in life that you should ever try to impress is yourself. Do what makes you happy.

I may not be a girly girl, but I'm the best of both worlds. I can get dirty without fussing about it and break a nail and not care. But I can also get all dressed up and fancy when I need to be. I may not be able to do make up, but I don't want to be one of those girls with 2 lbs of make up on my face. I'd rather throw on some mascara and eyeliner and go about my day. I may not be skinny as a rail, but I'm ok with that. I don't want to just be a bag of bones.  And being the tom boy of the bunch is never a bad. I tend to impress with my skills in throwing a football.

Like I said.. Life goes on. If something happens I don't dwell on it anymore. There's no reason to beat yourself up over things you can't control. You live and you learn. Never regret anything in life, because at one time you it made you smile.

When you learn to love yourself, you can finally be happy with your life. And I can honestly say that I'm glad I found myself and can enjoy life to the fullest now.

I know this isn't an average post for me, but it's really hit me lately how much I love my life... and how far I've come with being comfortable in my own skin.
Just venting. :)

Weekend Warriors

Well Hello Everyone!!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.
Mine was definitely quite eventful!

Friday night was kickball night,
And though we didn't win... I had a good time.
It was my last regular season game coaching.
Now I just have to get through this coming Saturday's tournament!
We ended up being seeded #8 out of 14...
Not where I wanted to be, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Saturday was spent with my Mother doing yard sales!
We hit the jack pot actually.
We went over to Port Norfolk in Portsmouth where they were having a community event.
There were like 45 different houses participating in the yard sale event!
We hit at least 25 to 30 of them.. No joke!
We definitely found some cool stuff!

That evening I went to the race at Langley Speedway!
Luckily I've been reconnecting with a friend I've know all my life,
So I ended up going with her and her husband-to-be! :)
We totally pigged out on "Redneck Fries"!
Those would be a basket of french fries with BBQ and nacho cheese on top.
After you add a little bit of hot sauce.. they are amazing.
I think I gained 5 lbs, but I'll work that off tonight.

Sunday was a lazy day with Momma!
We did however take the dogs to Petsmart and Skinny Dip!
We got some yummy froyo and got the dogs a doggie dip.
It was very nice and relaxing.

Well tonight is Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Chicago could win and take home the cup tonight,
Or Boston could win and force a game 7.
I'm hoping that Chicago wins tonight, I don't think I could handle a Game 7.
So tonight after going and getting my sweat on at the gym,
I'll be relaxing on the couch watching the very intense game!

Lately I've been reconnecting with some old friends who I haven't talked to in a while and it's be absolutely wonderful. Making new friends is always nice, but nothing compares to the people you grew up with and have so many wonderful childhood memories with! While we were yard sale-ing there was a little girl selling lemonade.. I couldn't help but to get a glass. I remember my friends and I trying to make a buck by selling lemonade, though it didn't always work out so well. I'm excited to start making new memories with the people who have been there since the beginning. Even though we lost touch, if feels like there was never any time lose between us... we pick up right where we left off!

Photo Dump!

My weekend in Nova/Baltimore was quite eventful! On the way up it took us longer than it should have to get to my sister's house... that's to the lovely I-95 traffic. But we aren't going to get into that one. Once we got to my sister's, we all piled into the car to go to Bobby Flay's Burger Bar. It was quite yummy if I do say so myself. Of course being right there at the outlet mall, we had to go shop. Boy oh boy did I see some sights there. (Look for the photos below) After all the shopping, we dropped the guys at the house and the ladies went to the thrift store. I didn't score much of anything other than an Eagles football coach bear for the dog. Yes, I know, my dog is way beyond spoiled. After dinner, we just lounged around for a bit.

Sunday we got up and headed for Baltimore. On our way up we had to stop at a gas station, but not to get gas... we stopped for the authentic mexican food that was being sold out of the gas station. Yea, you heard me right! It was actually pretty delicious, it'll definitely be a return destination. Then it was on to the Orioles game to watch them whoop some Red Sox booty. At least Dad and I came home happy that our team won... The other three, not so much.

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend and is having a great week so far. Now it's time for a photo dump... ENJOY!!

Monday Morning Came Too Soon

Happy Monday Morning Everyone!
Who am I kidding? If it wasn't for this coffee, I wouldn't be able to function right now. I need more sleep! I bet I'm not the only one feeling this way though! Well I hope everyone had an absolutely fantastic weekend, as I know I did.

Lucky for me I have an amazing boss at work and he let me off early on Friday. I decided to go with my Mom to a few estate sales. I had never been to one before so I didn't know what to expect. At first I was a little freaked out because it was literally like someone was still living there, and you get to go through their stuff and just buy whatever you want. I soon came to like it though! I'm pretty sure we will be hitting up more  this weekend.

Friday evening is kickball time... like every Friday. This week we played the #1 team in the league. Well... they were the #1 team in the league... until they played us. Some of their players weren't there, but hey that's on them! We definitely needed that confidence booster. I was very proud of my team, we ended up winning the game 9-1. SchweatyBallz Baby!! Just goes to show, you should never give up. Oh... and... you also probably shouldn't try to screw with our team. Because we will come out guns blazing! :) Our record is now 4-4-1-0 with one regular season game left this Friday and playoffs next weekend. Then it's time to pass the torch on over to my cousin! I know the team will be in good hands though! :)

SchweatyBallz with our winning certificate!
Way to go guys!

Make sure to come back tomorrow for my run down of how the rest of my weekend in NOVA/Baltimore went! Trust me, I'm sure you'll get a laugh of two.

Hope everyone makes the most of this Monday!
...Until Next Time...

Finally the weekend

Well, I hope everyone got through this work week as painlessly as possible. Thankfully it's not 100 degrees again today. It's suppose to be a beautiful weekend around these parts, hope it is for you as well.

Did anyone get caught in that storm last night? This girl did! I actually sat in the pouring down rain keeping the books for my Dad's softball games. The umpire was bound and determined to get through the games as long as their was no lightning. If he didn't the games going, he wasn't getting paid. At least I wasn't alone sitting in the rain... that's right, my Grandmother is a trooper. She sat right there with me the entire time. She may seem sweet and innocent, but she was sure trash talking the other team! Oh did I mention that our team only had 9 players and the other team only had 6 players. Congrats to my dad's teams for kicking the other team when they were down...and 12 running them both games! But hey I got free Chik-fil-a out the deal! :)

I've got quite the exciting weekend planned! Tonight is our second to last regular season kickball game. Hoping to come out with the win of course. SchweatyBallz versus Stinky Pinkies... What wonderful names right.? Then tomorrow we pack ourselves and the dogs up... and head to NOVA to see my sister and brother in law. I foresee some thrift storing going on! Sunday we are all going to the Red Sox vs Orioles game for Father's Day. My Dad and I are big Orioles fans, while my Sister and Brother-in-law are Red Sox fans. Then someone has to keep us grounded and be the referee...so that's where Mom comes in! At least two people will go home happy!

Tune in tomorrow night at 8pm to NBC Sports Network for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals between Chicago and Boston!
If the AHL is more your speed, you can go to AHLLive.com tonight at 7pm and enter in the code Calder2013 and watch Game 4 between the Grand Rapids Griffins and Syracuse Crunch for free. The Griffins could take home the Calder Cup with a sweep tonight, so that may be worth tuning in to!

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.
...Until Next Time...

Sweet Summer Time

Hello there! I'm back again. And since I have no life, maybe I'll be able to keep up with this thing again... we shall see.

Well I think that the weather decided that we didn't need a spring season this year. I mean we went from 50's to 80's... and today it's suppose to be 93. Oh and not to mention tomorrow is suppose to be like 100! What in the world is going on!?! Luckily I work in an office with some nice AC blasting. :)

Lots to look forward to this summer!

In exactly a month Momma and me will be going to see Train and Gavin DeGraw.
And can I say how awesome my Mother is... pretty freaking awesome!

Thanks to her I'll be getting to meet Gavin DeGraw again.
I can definitely go without meeting Train again, they aren't the nicest guys.

But at least they put out some really good music!

Then in two months I'll be headed to Nags Head for a week with the family!
For once, all 5 of us will be down there together!
We didn't get to go last year since we went to Alaska so it will be nice to get back to our yearly tradition.

My little slice of heaven.
I'm finally not coaching kickball this summer, so I will have plenty of pure relaxation time. I love kickball and all but I stress out over it too much. Luckily my cousin decided he'd take it over for me. Poor boy, I don't think he knows what he's getting himself into to. I use to love coaching but after 3 years, you kind of get burnt out. So now I just get to go out there and have fun! Maybe it'll spark my love for kickball up again!

Well tonight starts a very intense next couple of weeks.
It's Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks.
As well as it is Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals between the Grand Rapids Griffins and
the Syracuse Crunch.
I'm pulling for Chicago and Grand Rapids.
I'll be glued to my tv and my laptop tonight watching both games!
Saddening that hockey season is coming to a close though.

Well time to actually try and get some work done!
