Hey everyone! Happy Friday!! I hope you all have a fantastic holiday weekend planned. I know I have lots of awesome stuff going on this weekend! Be sure to come back next week and see how the weekend's adventures go!
Well, I finally made it though my first week of classes at school! I forgot that college teachers don't waste any time with putting you to work. This semester I'm taking 4 classes. I have Accounting, Intro to Business, Math, and a College Skills class. Luckily, my college skills class is only an 8 week online course that doesn't start til mid October. My other three classes are all taken in a campus classroom. I have strategically scheduled my classes so that they don't interfere with the hockey schedule! :) Told you I'm obsessed with hockey. So now I've gone from going to work and having a life... to going to work then going to class... 4 days a week! Oh the joys!!! After classes are out, I seriously just want to go home and relax and do nothing!
My intro to business class is once a week. My teacher is a huge Red Sox and Capitals fan. Can we say BOO! We won't be getting along come hockey season. Luckily, she's a really big sports fan also. She has worked our class/homework schedule around her sports as well. So far, the class is seeming pretty easy... but I guess only time will tell. The only problem I have with this class is we have to do a group project at the end of the semester. I would much rather do a business plan on my own than do it in a group. I'm dreading this assignment.
My accounting class is two nights a week. Boy, can we say A LOT OF WORK! The first week and there is already so much that we have to do. I'm really not getting everything right now, so let's hope that changes. Luckily my sister loves accounting... so hopefully she will help me out this weekend since she is coming in town. *Hint Hint Wink Wink Bethany* I think once I actually start to understand the basics, I'll do just fine.
Math is by far my favorite of the semester. We haven't started doing any work yet or anything, but my teacher is AMAZING! If you ever have to take a math class at the Chesapeake TCC campus, I would highly recommend taking classes from Carl Seward. The whole class was dying of laughter the entire time we were in class. Teachers that make things fun, make it easier to do well in the class. I'm definitely looking forward to going to his class each week.
Now it's off to do more homework so I won't have any to do this weekend! I hope you all have an awesome weekend!!!
Good luck with accounting! Definitely study, study, and well study! I remember having to do a "project" for it and I was ALL the way done and guess what? My numbers didnt match! Seriously? Luckily going all the way back to the beginning, I caught the mistake and didnt have to erase the whole thing. Its tedious, but accounting can be fun. Best of luck with all your studies!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not liking this accounting class! Thank you!
