Pot Roast

Happy Hump Day!
and happy Flyers hockey day!!!!

My brain isn't really working properly today, seeing as how I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Let's hope it's just sinuses. I hate being sick so tonight will consist of my bed, medicine, and watching hockey. I'm incredibly excited to watch my Flyers play tonight, even if I have to stream it online. I would love to think up an awesome post for you guys today, but the truth of the matter is... I'm not!

However, I never did post the recipe for my pot roast the other day... so that's what you're getting today. I'll give you the recipe, then tell you about how mine turned out and what I would change about it!

What you need:
Crock Pot
Crock Pot Bags (I like less clean up, you don't have to use one!)
London Broil (Mine was about 2 lbs)
Potatoes (As many as you'd like)
Carrots ( I used baby carrots, less work!)
Package of onion soup mix
Package of brown gravy mix
Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
Water

Directions:

1. Put meat in the crock pot.
2. Wash and cut up potatoes, then put in crock pot.
3. Add carrots.
4. Sprinkle brown gravy mix and dry onion soup mix. Spoon cream of mushroom over everything. Fill can up with water and dump in. Put lid on.
5. Cook on low all day.

This was my first time making one, so of course I will be tweaking some things next time. Instead of using a london broil, you can use rump roast or pork roast. My mom always uses london broil, that's why I chose that. My pot roast turned out really good but a little bit dry, to correct that, I won't be adding the brown gravy mix. I think that's the only thing I'm really going to change. Instead I'll use the liquid from the pot roast and heat that with the gravy when I'm ready to eat. That way made it won't be as dry. It was still very delicious and I had left overs for days!  Try it out and let me know how you tweaked it, and how it turned out!
