Chicago Fire!

Oh Heyyy. It's the night I've been waiting for, for a while now. Tonight is the Season 2 premiere of Chicago Fire!! If you haven't seen the show before, I suggest that you check it out! I never thought I would like it, but I ended up being glued to it! So you know where I'll be tonight at about 10! It comes on after The Voice, so if you're watching that... Just keep on watching, you won't regret it!

Hello Jesse Spencer && Taylor Kinney

In other news, today starts the training camp for the Norfolk Admirals! You heard that right... training camp is finally here in Norfolk. Don't forget that if you don't have anything going on this Saturday, you should totally check out their exhibition game! Make sure so say "Hi" if you see me! I sit behind the goalie on the Admirals side of the ice!

Facebook page!! :) I'll put your name if I find out who you are!
Here is a link to the Training Camp schedule and where to purchase tickets.

My mind is all over the place today. Thankfully I don't have class tonight, so I get a bit of a break. I'm really excited to get home, seeing as how I have dinner waiting in the crock pot! YUM! This is my first attempt at making a pot roast, so we will see how it turns out! If it turns out pretty decent I will definitely post the recipe. :)

Anything happening exciting this week for anyone!?

Cream Cheese Chicken Chili

Just a few more hours and I'm home free for the weekend! I know my weekend will be filled with lots of kickball and Maroon 5!  Oh, and homework..... The life of a college kid, not digging it! I'm going to quit babbling though, cause I know you aren't here to hear me ramble. I promised you a recipe post, and a recipe is what you shall get!!! I made this last night, and just had some for left overs! Yummy. :)

I found the recipe on pinterest a long time ago and have made it plenty of times since. I tweaked the recipe a bit to my likings (especially on the chili powder) but you can find the original recipe I found here.

Cream Cheese Chicken Chili

Here's what you need:

1 can black beans
1 can corn, undrained
1 can Rotel, undrained
1 package ranch dressing mix
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder (the recipe calls for more, but I can't do spicy stuff)
1 tsp onion powder
1 8 oz package cream cheese
2 chicken breasts
Crock Pot Bag (Makes clean up simple!)

Directions:
Place your chicken breasts in the bottom of your crock pot. Drain and rinse your black beans. Pour the black beans, rotel, and corn over the chicken. Next, add your ranch package and your seasonings. After all that, I like to stir it up so everything mixes together. Lastly put the cream cheese on top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. When it's done cooking, be sure to stir in the cream cheese and shred up the chicken with forks.  I always like to serve mine over rice, but you can do what ever you want.

Ingredients!
All stirred up and ready to cook!

Finished product! Forgot to take one before I ate it. Sorry!

Now that I'm back in school, I'm getting into using my crock pot again. The last thing I want to do after a day at work and class, is come home and cook. My crock pot and I are best friends now. If you have any good crock pot recipes, PLEASE share them with me!! I'd love to try some new ones!

Hanging out with my Grandma for her birthday yesterday!

Oh Rainy Days

There's only one thing that rainy days are good for. And that's staying in bed and cuddling. Too bad the pup and me had to come to work though. This will be one of two blogs today. Because guess what... I have a recipe blog for you!

All I'm saying... it was super yummy! Minus the one dish that ended up getting thrown in the garbage! On the menu last night was Baked Balsamic & Oregano Chicken and Oven Roasted Balsamic Asparagus. I also made Cauliflower Mash. But that was definitely not for me! I will stick to my Sweet Potato Mash Potatoes.

I will show you guys pictures from my cooking adventures, share where I found the recipes, and tell you what I would do differently next time! So be sure to check back.

Now I need you guys' help! I found this dresser on the side of the road a couple months ago and had to snag it. First of all it's in really good condition, and second it was free! I am going to be spray painting it and such this weekend to get it ready to be moved in the house. I'm trying to decide what color(s) I want to paint it! I'm thinking silver, but you tell me what would look cool.

I know that I'm going to get some new handles for it. I also need to make little doors for the slots up top which use to have drawers in them. it's in perfect condition though. I think it was a total steal! Thanks to the neighbors down the street from my job. So this weekend she gets a nice paint job and maybe some stencil work done on it!

IDEAS!!! HELP ME OUT!

I will get the recipe blog posted tonight before I head to the Journey concert with my Mother.
Don't Stop Believing!

Ya had a bad day!

Sometimes things just don't work out like ya want them to.
&& Sometimes you get your hopes up just to watch them crash and burn.

At least that's what happened to me.
I was suppose to be heading to see my boyfriend next week.
But reasons, that aren't in his control, have stopped that.

It's ok though, he still gets to come here in November.
So let the count down begin!

This weekend, however, I am headed up to Baltimore/DC.
Orioles vs Red Sox.  YES PLEASE!
My Dad and I are Orioles fans, while my sister and her husband are Red Sox fans.
This will definitely be a fun weekend.
Hopefully making it by IKEA as well!

Next week I will be doing a recipe blog for you guys!
So be looking for that.

I would this week, but there's just no time!
That's the story of my life!
