Tooting My Own Horn!

If you read my blog post yesterday, you know that I was nervous about my accounting exam. Well I woke up to an email from my professor saying that he graded the exams and has posted the grades. He also said he posted our overall grades at this point. He uses a point system for assignments and the overall grade is based on a 100% like normal grades.

Nervously I signed into my account and looked... OH HEYYYYY! Way to start my morning of with a bang! This girl scored 38 out of 36 points! You read that right! The exam was worth 36 points total, but he also added two extra credit questions. I got a 100% on the exam and then extra points for the bonus questions. 

I decided to then check my overall grade. I know I haven't gotten a 100% on all of my other assignments but they've been really good grades too. Well with the way that the grades are weighted.... 

This girl has an overall 103% in the class!

I don't think I've ever been so excited over grades before! I've never really applied myself fully to school and my studies. Everything usually comes really naturally to me unless we are dealing with history and science stuff. After being out of school for so long, I realized that it doesn't just come so easily as it did before. It just goes to show that if you actually study, do your work carefully, and pay attention... you can be rewarded with good grades. I was scared to death starting this course, seeing as the teacher said that 20-25% of the class always fails. I can honestly say... I won't be failing the class! 

My day has now been made, and I'm in a really good mood. The rest of the day will be filled with more studying, class, home to make dinner, then baking some muffins! I hope everyone has a great day!!! :)
