Labor Day Festivities.

Happy Hump Day!!!! I hope everyone had a fantastic Labor Day weekend! I know I did. Friday night I went to dinner and a movie with a friend. For dinner we went to California Pizza Kitchen, can you say delicious!? Then it was off to see The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. I have mixed reviews on the movie. I've been reading the book series, and obviously they are never quite the same as the movie, but this one threw me for a loop. I spent more time saying, "This isn't how it was in the book", than actually enjoying the movie. I think had I not read the books, I would have absolutely loved the movie. It was a really good movie, don't get me wrong, but I tend to want the movie to play right along with the book. I'm on Book Four of the series now, can't wait to see where this series goes. If you haven't read The Mortal Instruments series, I highly recommend that you do!

Saturday was spent at the auction with my family. I was literally there for 9:45 to about 2:45. It's always a lot of fun at the auction, but it definitely takes your day away from you. At least there is some really yummy BBQ to keep you full! I did really well at the auction this month, I only spent $7. I bought a box of clothes for $5 because there was a Philadelphia Eagle's sweatshirt in it. I have no clue what else was in the box, since my mom and sister gave the rest to Goodwill. Evidently it was only little old lady clothes. I just wanted my sweatshirt. I also bought an old wooden office chair for $2. Don't laugh, I had been sitting in it all day, so I figured why not. It's actually missing a wheel, and the leg is broken but I don't care. I love my lovely office chair. I end up getting the weirdest things when it comes to auctions, but it's ok. Saturday evening consisted of sitting through 16 innings of baseball. Boy did my butt hurt after that! It was fan appreciation night, and guess what I won. NOT A SINGLE THING! I was pretty sad, not going to lie!

Sunday was pretty much a rest and relaxation day. I went to a cookout with my family before heading to the baseball game once again. We sat in the rain waiting to see if the game was going to be cancelled for an hour. After that hour was up, I was ready to go whether they were going to play or not. They did end up playing the game but not until two hours after it was suppose to start! It's ok, I went home and cuddled with Jonas anyways, which is always more enjoyable! Monday was nothing but homework and laundry. Literally... ALL DAY LONG!

I hope you all had a great time! Now it's time for a bit of a photo dump!!! Enjoy

Keeping it local. O'Connor on the left, Smartmouth on the right.
TMI: City of Bones!
Dad guarding only a portion of our things!
That's my chair in the far right!
You know what the say.. "The family that auctions together...
...spends too much money!"
He cracks me up! Always trying to make me bid.
Repping my Markakis shirt to the Tides game!
This lady and her fan... Hilarious.
16 innings of baseball. Came out with 2 wins!
Someone ripped their pants sliding to second!
Waiting for the rain to pass!
I'd rather cuddle up with him over anything,
any day of the week! :)

Time to snap back to reality!

Happy Friday Everyone!
Glad to see we all made it through the work week as painlessly as possible.

Yesterday was one of the best days I've had in a very long time! Even all the rain couldn't put a damper on my day! Went to work for a few hours to get some office work done and to do a couple errands. Hey getting two hours is better than getting none right? My Mom wasn't so sure she wanted to go to our first stop, seeing as how she didn't know anything about the guy singing. Luckily I talked her into it.

The events of the day started out at Smoked Out in Virginia Beach for a private show by Michael Franti. They also provided a free lunch for us as well. First off, the food was amazing and you should definitely check it out. The show they played was absolutely amazing. They definitely know how to work the crowd and get everyone on their feet. Mom was even getting into it. They did pictures afterwards, and this is where  you saw how awesome they were. Taking all kinds of pictures with everyone! This was our picture with them!!!

Michael Franti doesn't wear shoes, so we decided to be like him for the picture. :)

After all the excitement at Smoked Out, it was time to head over to the radio station to see Gavin DeGraw. If you know me at all, you know he is one of my absolute favorite artists. My Mom and I see him every time he comes into town, and on some occasions we travel to see him! He played two songs for us at the radio station including his new single, "Best I Ever Had". As always it was amazing. I tend to prefer him doing acoustic over a big show like last night. So I got the best of both worlds yesterday! Can't wait for his next album to come out! Here is my picture with Gavin DeGraw....

To end the amazing day, it was time for the actual concert. Mom and I got our rain coats and umbrellas ready and headed out for Farm Bureau Live! I was suppose to go to another meet n greet with Gavin at the concert, but it didn't happen. Thanks to people who don't know how to drive in the rain, I was late. At least I got to see him earlier in the day right? During Franti's performance he came out in the crowd several times. Luckily he was over by me at one point and came and danced. :) Then after his show he came by and signed the pictures we had taken earlier. Train was phenomenal as always. All I can say about the concert.... It was amazing!

Here's a bit of a photo dump for you from last night! Enjoy!!

I have more pictures from the concert... But I haven't gone through them. Maybe I'll upload those in another post! Anyways I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!! :)

...Until Next Time...

Just Another Monday in the Books.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Hoping that you all had a great weekend.
I know I did!

Darius Rucker on Friday night was amazing as usual.
Though I must say it is quite hard to dance in the rows between seats.
I prefer him much more out where I can sit on the lawn and dance around.
Fortunately we had VIP reception tickets.
That meant all the free food and alcohol you wanted!
My mother and I definitely took advantage of that.
I also tried a new beer brewed locally out of Richmond, VA.
It was pretty tasty.

I also got to meet an Olympic Gold Medalist from my area.
Her name is Francena McCorory.

She ran in the Women's 4x400m Relay.
That gold medal actually weighs a ton!
She let me hold it! That was pretty cool.

Saturday I spent most the day with my family relaxing.
Even went and got pumpkins and got froyo at Sweet Frog.

Yesterday I got my grocery shopping done and my dog's grocery shopping done.
My mother also got me a nice relaxing facial and eye brow wax.
I look like a lady again, instead of a werewolf. :)
And of course watched football in between my adventures.
My Eagles disappointed me horribly.

Well time to get some cleaning and organizing done at work!
Molly Maid out!

Here's some other pictures! :) Enjoy!

Scope is my second home!
